BIM Jet announces Schedule Connect DEMO version release
Boston - July 20, 2009 - Today BIM Jet, INC. announced the release of Schedule Connect DEMO, a new plug-in for Revit Architecture that connects Revit BIM models with Microsoft Project schedules.
This DEMO of Schedule Connect is full featured, the only limitation is in the number of tasks that can be exchanged between Revit and Microsoft Project. You will be able to test the tool for as long as you wish and, when ready, decide to purchase the full version.
They have had a tremendously positive response to Schedule Connect over the past few weeks. Now they are happy to announce a full featured demo version that anyone can install and run. In todays market, everyone is looking for an edge, and this release of Schedule Connect provides orders of magnitude in production efficiency. Tool can do in five minutes what would normally take five hours to do the old way.
Under development the past year BIM Jet sees the Schedule Connector will accelerate 4D production when a BIM model is used on a project. By linking Autodesk Revit and Microsoft Project, the Schedule Connect software synchronizes the building information model and project schedule. First it generates a baseline schedule directly from the Revit model. Schedulers can then add detail and logic to the schedule. Later the schedule information is pushed back to the Revit model where 4D images can quickly be created.
With this connector tool, Architects and CMs (or GCs) will be able to save valuable time, concentrate more on the model and schedule, and less on waiting for the information to bounce from one end (BIM Model) to the other (Scheduling software).
